L. Jean Kennedy, 88, of Neshannock Twp, passed away the morning of August 15, 2015 at Golden Hill Nursing Home. Born December 1, 1926 in Lorain, Ohio, she was a daughter of John and Pearl L. Arnold Fisher. She was preceded in death on November 2, 1997 by her husband of 51 years, Harold B. Kennedy, whom she married October 10, 1946. Jean graduated from New Castle High School, and was a homemaker, taking care of her husband and two children. A member of New Hope Wesleyan Church, she often worked in the church nursery. She is survived by one son, Jeffrey L. (Doris) Kennedy of Milton, Fla; one daughter, Kay (Donald) Buckley of New Castle; 5 five grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; one sister, Maryan Pellitier; and one brother, Dale P. Fisher. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Gary DeWitt officiating.
