Larry C. Troggio, 72, of Poland, Ohio passed away the afternoon of February 9, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, after a 4-week battle with COVID-19. Born November 26, 1948 in New Castle, he was the son of Guido "Guy" J. Troggio and A. Jane (Iatonna) Troggio. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Charlene (Timblin) Troggio whom he married July 14, 1978. Larry was a graduate of Geneva College where he received his Bachelor's degree in business. He was the manager of the former Troggio's Restaurant in New Castle until becoming the Director of Domestic Relations for Lawrence County. Larry was a dedicated chef, especially with Italian cuisine. He was an avid photographer and loved to travel. He was a former deacon with Third Presbyterian Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Jeremy (Kimberly) Troggio of Denver, CO, Jordan (Heather) Troggio of Springfield, Ohio, and Ross Troggio of New Orleans; one brother, Thomas (Connie) Troggio of Cave Creek, AZ; and five grandchildren, Max and Leo Troggio of Denver, CO, Charley Troggio of Bessemer, Hunter Troggio of Texas and Noah Troggio of Springfield, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation. A private service will be held for the family at their convenience.
