Laura Mae Biddle, 84, of West Euclid Avenue, New Castle, passed away the evening of July 16, 2011 at her residence.Born August 19, 1926 in New Castle, she was a daughter of William Harold and Agnes Delma Clark McClelland. She married John Albert Biddle on May 19, 1946. He survives in New Castle.She was a graduate of New Castle High School and attended New Castle Business College.Laura was a former Bell Telephone employee and a homemaker.She was a member of First Christian Church and former chair member.In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Pamela Ann Lavella of New Castle; one son, Barry Lee Biddle of Peru, Iowa; two grandchildren, Alicia Lynn Piech and Barry Lee Biddle, Jr.; and one great-grandchild, Aila Piech.She is preceded in death by her parents; two half-sisters; Dorthy Palmer and Isophene Buckley; two half-brothers, John W. Axe and Harold McClelland.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July, 20, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Doug Shoaff and will officiate, assisted by The Rev. John Lyons. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
