Obituary

Laura L. Enscoe, 80, of New Castle, passed away the morning of September 22, 2020 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born March 5, 1940 in Mercer, PA, she was the daughter of Samuel A. and Julia (Graham) Moore. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard Enscoe, whom she married September 17, 1960. A 1958 graduate of Grove City High School, Laura was employed as a seamstress for the former Fisher Brothers and worked at Fisher's Big Wheel until retiring from Big Lot's where she was part of the office staff. Laura was the past treasurer of Laurel's adult travel club and was a former Girl Scout leader. She was a co-founder of the Mother of Twins Club of New Castle and enjoyed card club as well as playing cards and checkers with her husband Richard. She also enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Laura loved her family and being a "Nana." She would attend all their sporting games, concerts, dance recitals and plays. She loved watching the Steelers and Pirates, much to the chagrin of her husband. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Loralee (Eugene) McMullen, Jane (George Dudich and Joan (Matthew) Graziani all of New Castle and Kathleen (Kevin) Huff of West Chester, PA; one son, William Enscoe of New Castle; two brothers, Charles Moore of Grove City and Francis Moore of Mercer; two sisters, Joyce Baker of Grove City and Patricia Keane of North Carolina; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Raymond Moore, Samuel Moore and Robert Liston; and one sister, Floretta Candioto. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. Visitors are asked to adhere to guidelines regarding wearing face masks and practicing social distancing. A Private funeral service for the family will take place immediately following visitation on Saturday at 4:00 with the Pastor Gene Hydrick officiating. Burial will be in Unity Baptist Cemetery.
