Laura Lee McGaughey, age 39, of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly the morning of September 28, 2022, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Born December 31, 1982, in Sharon, PA, she was the daughter of John McGaughey who survives in Mercer, PA and Barbie Bowers of Transfer, PA.

Laura attended Calvary Christian Academy in Mercer and was a homemaker. She enjoyed baking and taking care of her house plants and her cat, Psycho. She was a member of Gardner Chapel Keys to the Kingdom Church.

Laura will be sadly missed by many who knew her. She was a constant source of inspiration to others searching for hope and support.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her fiancé, Pete Delboverlando; a daughter, Paige Michelle; a sister, Amber; step-mother, Debbie; and a few very special people and extended family in her life, Bonnie (Dave), Jamie (Will), Pete (Becky), Vincenzo, Waylon and Leo.

She was preceded in death by one brother, John McGaughey and a daughter, Serenity.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 8, at 11:00 a.m. at Gardner Chapel Keys to the Kingdom Church, 2809 Forest Avenue, New Castle, with Rev. Karl Moore officiating.

Donations may be sent to Gardner Chapel Keys to the Kingdom Church and designated to assist with Laura's final expenses.
