Lawrence R. McMillen, 78, of Slippery Rock passed away the afternoon of October 31, 2016 at Wexford Healthcare Center. Born on July 15, 1938 in Canton, Ohio, he was a son of John Roy and Frances Fager McMillen. Surviving is his partner of thirty-six years, Beverly Gocal of Slippery Rock. At the University of Cincinnati Larry earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He retired as CT Software Manager at Philips Medical Systems (Picker X-Ray) in Cleveland, Ohio. He enjoyed photography, computers and genealogy. Survivors include one brother, John (Fran) McMillen of Columbus, Ohio; two nephews, John and Jim McMillen; one niece, Kathy Lillash; Beverly's sisters, Marilyn LaFrance and Pat (Earl) Brown; and her brother, Raymond Gocal. His parents preceded him in death. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.
