Leona Logan, 84, of New Castle, passed away the morning of December 26, 2010 at Edison Manor.Leona was born on March 19, 1926, in New Castle, to the late John and Frances Kwolek Kusnierczyk. She married Ernest W. Logan on June 29, 1947. Mrs. Logan lost her husband of 36 years on July 1, 1983. Leona was a sales clerk at Troutman's Department Store until her retirement. She was a graduate of Mt. Jackson High School and a member of First Presbyterian Church.Mrs. Logan is survived by her three sons, John R. Logan and Robert Logan of New Castle, and Richard W. Logan of New Galilee; one brother, John Kusnierczyk of New Castle; one sister, Helen Wolanin of New Castle; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her companion, Herbert G. Myers.In addition to her parents and husband, Leona was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Sue Logan and one sister, Jane Akstulewicz.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Rd.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Pastor Tom Willcox will be officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
