Leslie B. "Les" Johnson, Jr., age 81, of New Castle, passed away May 19, 2025, at Kadema Rehabilitation and Nursing at Greenville.

Born May 23, 1943, in New Castle, he was the son of Leslie Johnson, Sr. and Marjorie Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Faith E. (Wentzel) Johnson who resides at their home in New Castle.

After his graduation from Slippery Rock High School, he joined the US Air Force where he served during the Vietnam War as a communicator 2.

He was employed in sales and was a manager with American General Insurance most of his life. After retirement, he worked part time at Walmart in New Castle.

Among his many interests, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf and was a member of Prospect Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lisa (Tom) Younger of New Castle; two sons, Aaron Johnson of New Castle and Kevin (Melissa) Johnson of New Jersey; two brothers, Mark Johnson of Butler and David Johnson of Butler Township.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jan Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, from 11:00-1:00 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place immediately after visitation Thursday at 1:00 at the funeral home with Rev. Gary DeWitt officiating.
