Letetia "Tish" E. Lyon, 86, of Slippery Rock Township, passed away the morning of January 14, 2018, at her residence.
Born November 30, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Golda Mae Sallmen Moon.
Letetia was preceded in death by her former husband, Freeman D. Aller, on February 4, 2014 and her second husband, Walter L. Lyon who preceded her in death on May 17, 1994.
Letetia attended school in New Castle. She worked as a custodian for YDC for 10 years, Laurel High School for 10 years and more recently was self employed as a home health care worker for the last several years. Mamaw took care of her boys, Landon, CJ, Adam, Joey, Nate, Brandon and Nicklas.
She enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles, dancing, shooting pool, and water skiing. She was an excellent cook. She loved her church, her American Legion, V.F.W., but most of all she loved her children and grandchildren.
Letetia is survived by three daughters, Pam Rickel, Debbie Lohr, and Bonnie Aller, all of New Castle; three step daughters, Jo Braatz of Fredonia Pa, Jacqueline Hohmann of Slippery Rock, Twp., and Kelly Kline of New Castle; three sons, Ron Aller of Hookstown Pa, Kenny Aller and Tracy Aller, both of New Castle; 9 Grandchildren, 18 Great-Grandchildren, 5 Great -Great Grandchildren, 5 Step-Grandchildren and 5 Step Great-Grandchildren.
Along with her parents and both husbands, Letetia was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Margaret Moon and Geraldine Swope; 1 brother Harry R. Moon; 1 Granddaughter Michelle Lohr; and 1 grandson, Josh Hohmann.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 20th, from 2-4 p.m. at Oakpointe Christian Center, 885 Harbor Edinburg Road, New Castle, Pa. 16101. Immediately following visitation, a memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Abel Robles and Rev. Jon Paul Robles officiating.
