Lloyd M. "Skip" Fombelle, died peacefully at his home with his wife of 62 years at his side on Friday, May 30, 2014.Skip was born August 22, 1931 to Paul W. and Kathryn Herbert Fombelle in Shenango Township. He graduated from Shenango High School in 1949 and attended Geneva College.On August 31, 1951, he married his high school sweetheart, Annabel Ort. Skip enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, the outdoors, and sports. For more than 50 years, he was a partner with his father Paul W. and his brothers, Paul and Wally, at Fombelle Service in downtown New Castle. In 1976, he started 4Ways, a lawnmower sales and repair shop, with his son and sons-in-law. He retired in 2007.Skip was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church in New Castle where he was a Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, and trustee. He was a member of Masons Lodge 243.He is survived by his wife and three children; Susan (Jerry) Jones, Charles (Denise) Fombelle, and Kathryn (Michael) Moore, as well as nine grandchildren, Connie Schnell, Cindy Jones, Jeff Jones, Riann Kinniburgh, Andrew Moore, Stephen Moore, Amy Simpson, Chris Fombelle and Brandon Fombelle; and seven great-grandchildren, Caitlyn Schnell, Aidyn Schnell, Parker Jones, Zoe Jones, Isaac Kinniburgh, Josiah Kinniburgh, and Zachary Simpson.He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers.Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, June 3, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, and will be officiated by Rev. John Yergan and Rev.
