Lloyd H. Lamm III, age 68, of New Castle, PA went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 9, 2022.
Born July 23, 1953, in New Castle to Lloyd H. Lamm, Jr. (deceased) and Ida May Rhodes Lamm of New Castle.
He was the loving husband of Donna (Cameron) Lamm whom he married March 10, 1984; father of Mark (Jenny) Bolinger of New Castle, Fred (Susan) Lamm of West Chester, OH and Lisa Lamm of Milford, OH; grandfather of Cameron Bolinger, Jordan, Ian & Kennedy Lamm; step-grandfather of Paige & Carissa Fumarola and Liane Thomas. He is also survived by sister-in-law and brother-in-law Doris Ann & Geary George and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, W. Allen & Barbara Cameron; nephews Jason George and Justin (Evan) George and great-nephews, Decker, Smith & Brooks George. He is also survived by several cousins and many friends including David, Joyce & Stephen Piper.
Lloyd was a graduate of Shenango Area High School, class of 1971, where he was inducted into the Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame in 2014. He also attended Grove City College and Youngstown State University.
He was hired in 1972 at Dollar Savings Association as a teller and worked in many positions until he retired after a 43-year career from First National Bank of PA in 2015 as the Capital Area Regional President in Harrisburg, PA.
Lloyd was appointed in 2008 to the Pennsylvania Early Learning Investment Commission by Governor Rendell and continued to serve under Governors Corbett and Wolf. While serving with the ELIC he spoke in the Virgin Islands, Uganda and throughout the United States.
He has served on the Boards of Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Economics PA, American Heart Association, United Way, Hershey Bears Season Ticket Holder Advisory Board, GK Cares Foundation, was the State Director of PA West Financial Institute, and also served as Chairman of the John Guest Evangelistic Crusade in W. PA. He currently serves as President of The Fields Condo Association.
Throughout his life, Lloyd attended Hoover Heights Alliance Church, Edinburg Christian Church, Christian Life Assembly in Camp Hill, PA and is a current member of First Baptist Church of New Castle where he has served as Sunday School teacher, member of the Senior Pastor Search Committee, Chairman of the Financial Deacons and currently served as the Church Administrator.
He loved to golf, fish and travel; and loved people and spending time with his family and friends. He was also a fan of all Pittsburgh Sports Teams.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Thursday, April 14 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 984 W. Maitland Lane, New Castle, PA 16105.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 14, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, with Pastor Scott Frederick, officiating.
