Lloyd E. Parish, 86, of New Castle, passed away the evening of November 17, 2012 at his residence. Born September 27, 1926, in Moundsville, West Virginia, he was a son of James R. and Edna Church Parish. Lloyd was preceded in death by his loving wife, the former Beulah Ann Stickle, on August 29, 2011. They were married on June 10, 1950. He was a graduate of Princeton High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Japan with the occupation forces. Lloyd was employed for 39 years with Columbia Gas as a street serviceman. Among his many interests were golfing, gardening, hunting and reading. He loved the time he spent with his family and his church, the Church of Christ. He is survived by two daughters, Jill D. Rovini of Hubbard, OH and Patty A. (Jay) Downing of New Castle; three sons, Michael L. (Mary A.) Parish of Portersville, David Todd (Cheryl L.) Parish of New Wilmington, and Timothy Ray (Mary Beth) Parish of Slippery Rock; twelve grandchildren, Ryan, Troy, Rachel, Erin, Ashley, Zachary, Matthew, Nicole, Sarah, Marley, Evan and Abbey; and six great grandchildren, Ali, Asher, Kates, Riley, Piper, and Eli. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Jim Parish, and a sister, Beatrice. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 21, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 7:00 p.m. David E. Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
