Lois A. Locke, age 93, of New Castle, passed away peacefully the afternoon of Nov. 4, 2023, at her residence, with her family by her side.

Born May 22, 1930, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late Elmer T. and Bertha Truby (French) Tinstman.

On May 25, 1951, she married her beloved husband of 70 years, Joseph Earle Locke. He preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 2021.

Mrs. Locke was a 1948 graduate of New Castle High School. For several years, she was employed by Westminster College, where she worked as the Financial Aid Secretary. She was a member of the Jameson Jr. Guild. Lois enjoyed the time that she spent with her family. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church where she served in the Children's Ministry and was a part of the Heart-to-Heart Bible study.

Survivors include her children, T. John (Annette) Locke of Gibsonia, PA, Christopher W. (Jeanne) Locke of Malvern, OH, and Caroline F. (J. Bruce) Locke- Anderson of New Castle, PA; grandchildren, Heather E. Anderson, Kelsey (Jordan) Federer, Megan Anderson, Elizabeth (Joshua) Montgomery, Christopher (Chelsea) Locke, Kacey (Cameron) Lewis, Jordan T. Locke and Brittany Locke; and five great-grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or services.

Burial will be alongside her husband at Oak Park Cemetery.
