Lois J. Tinstman, 69, of New Castle passed away on March 1, 2024 at Canterberry Place in Pittsburgh.

Born on June 28, 1954 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of Victor Short and Elizabeth June (Wilson) Short. She married Jim Tinstman on August 1, 1986 whom survives.

She was a graduate of Vo-tech and Beaver County Community College. She was a registered nurse for 40 years and was employed by UPMC Jameson Hospital for a portion of that time. Lois enjoyed spending time at the beach. She was a member of Wampum Presbyterian Church.

Along with her husband Lois is survived by her two daughters, Amy (Brad) Allshouse of Neshannock and Margaret Tinstman of New Castle; one son, Evan (Chrystal) Tinstman of Neshannock; and four grandchildren, Emily and Brandon Allshouse and Bella and Sophia Tinstman.

Mrs. Tinstman was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Victor and Donald Short.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 8th, from 9:00 am – Noon at R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation on Friday at noon with Pastor Eric Prinkey officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
