Lois E. Ziegler, age 99, of New Castle, passed away the morning of Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Jameson Care Center.

Born September 2, 1923, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Harvey and Mary (Cochran) Shingler.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glen H. Ziegler, on April 18, 1995.

A graduate of New Castle High School, Lois was a homemaker, caring for her husband and their two children. Lois and Glen owned a camp where together they spent many years with their family and their dog, Jill.

Lois was a member of the former Third Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Cornelius of New Castle, PA; one son, William Ziegler of Estero, Florida; one sister, Marilyn Reed of New Castle; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

There will be a one hour visitation on Thursday, Dec. 8, from 10:00-11:00 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 with Pastor Jordan Rimmer officiating.

Lois will be laid to rest beside her husband in Oak Park Cemetery.
