Loretta M. Kahrer, 78, of Ashberry Lane, New Castle passed away on March 4, 2010 in the Grove City Medical Center.She was born on March 8, 1931, in New Castle, and she was the daughter of the late Charles S. and Lucy Mae Schultz McCaskey. She married Herbert C. Kahrer on October 4, 1966. He survives in New Castle. Mrs. Kahrer retired in 1985 after 30 years of service in the accounting department of Castle Stationary. She was a graduate of New Castle High School. She enjoyed crossword puzzles.She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Margaret McCormick and Alyce McCaskey; and two brothers, Charles S. McCaskey, Jr. and William J. McCaskey.Visitation will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2429 Wilmington Rd., New Castle, PA.A service will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Dennis Bupp will officiate.Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
