Loretta L. Shelenberger, 64, of Maitland Lane, passed away the morning of January 13, 2012 in Jameson Hospital.Born March 28, 1947 in New Castle, she was a daughter of Leo E. and Elvira Jerry Flynn.She married Ralph L. Shelenberger on August 14, 1971. She was a 1965 graduate of New Castle High School and received her teaching degree in 1969 from Edinboro University. She then obtained her Master's degree in teaching from Westminster College.Loretta was a retired school teacher from the Beaver Area School District.She was active with the Celebrity Series at Westminster College as an usher and also ushered several events at the Cathedral. She enjoyed spending time on her computer.Loretta attended First Alliance Church.She is survived by her husband.She was preceded in death by her parents.Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2012, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will take place on Monday, January 16, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev.
