Lorraine Pence, 79, of 410 McCaslin Road, New Castle, went home to be with the Lord the night of September 7, 2011 at her residence.Born October 19, 1931 in Superior, PA, she was a daughter of Russell McVicker and Leota Moody McVicker Talbott.She married Bert C. Pence on December 29, 1955. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2003.She was a graduate of Redstone High School and was a teletype operator for ten years with Western Union in Uniontown, PA.Lorraine enjoyed bird watching, collecting crystal and angels. She loved flowers and especially her cat, Tiger.She was a former member of Church of God.She is survived by three daughters, Shari Reparsky of Manassas, VA, Susan Ketzel of New Castle, and Lori Danford of Bethesda, OH; one son, Samuel Pence of New Castle; two brothers, Donald McVicker of Warminster, PA and Forrest Talbott of Hummelstown, PA; ten grandchildren, Rachael, Rebecca, Jacob, Sean, David, Michelle, Ashley, Marissa, Hoyt and Jordan; two great-grandchildren, Chassidy and Trinity.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.Visitation will be held on Saturday. Sept. 10, 2011, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The ev. Dominick Cestrone of the New Castle Revival Center will officiate. Burial will be in Eastbrook United Presbyterian Cemetery.
