Obituary

Louis A. Garberry Jr., 81, of Neshannock Township left our earthy world in peace and dignity at his home on the morning of January 4, 2014 after a full and well lived life. He will be deeply missed, but more importantly his spirit will live on in all who knew and loved him. His wife, children and grandchildren were the center of his life. Born October 1, 1932 in New Castle, he was the son of Louis A. Garberry Senior and Marion Rose Flout Garberry. He is survived by his loving wife the former Charlotte Hayes whom he married in 1956. He graduated from New Castle High School in 1950 and New Castle Business College following that. Louis served in the US Marines as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict. A dedicated sales manager for International Paper for 32 years, he retired in 1987. He was a member of VFW, Moose, and Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church. Louis was a great fisherman, enjoyed golf and hunting and shared his zest for life and adventure with his family. In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughter Rosanne Pancoe; son, Walter Garberry of New Castle; four grandchildren, Tod C., Dylan, Andre, and Lyndi; and sons-in-law, Tod Pancoe and Dean Rosing. Louis was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Louis A. Garberry III; and brother, James. Visitation will be Friday, January 10, 2014, from 7-9 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Castle View Gardens.
