Louise L. Badger, 84, of New Castle, passed away the morning of February 14, 2017 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born May 10, 1932 in Ellwood City, PA, she was the daughter of Nick Ierino and Mary Torchio Ierino. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Donald B. Badger, Sr., whom she married in July, 1956. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and a homemaker. Louise was a member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church. Louise enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a dedicated caregiver, providing loving support to family and friends in need, in addition to caring for animals. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and April Badger and Donald B. and Toni Ann Badger, Jr., all of New Castle; one brother, Nick Ierino, Jr. of New Wilmington; one sister, Virginia Herko of New Castle; 7 grandchildren, Donald and Danny Badger whom she raised from the time they were young, Matthew, Andy, Antonia, Michael and Amy Jo Badger; and 1 great-grandchild. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Joseph C. Badger; four brothers, Joe, Sammy, Dominick, and Frank Ierino; and one sister, Rosie Cross. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00-12:00 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Saturday at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Bupp, Celtic Hospice Chaplain, officiating.
