Louisea E. Withers, 100, of 1608 Atkinson St., New Castle, passed away the night of Jan. 21, 2010, in Jameson Hospital.Born Feb. 9, 1909, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Frank Wallace and Clara Elizabeth Knapp Smith.She married Samuel L. Withers who preceded her in death in 1983.Louisea was employed by Street & Powell Printing as a printer.She was a member of Washington Union Alliance Church.Louisea was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed nursing animals and taking care of plants and flowers.Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy L. and Ted Walker of New Castle, and Sandra and Charles Young of Florida; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles R. and Patty Withers of New Castle; twenty one grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Richard Smith; and a grandson, Samuel Clements.Visitation will be 2 to 5 Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, at the funeral home. Her son-in-law, Ted Walker, and her grandson, Rev.
