Ludwig L. Skuta, 82, of the Overlook Medical Clinic, passed away the morning of August 3, 2011 at the Overlook.Born April 10, 1929 in New Castle, he was a son of Kazimierz (Charles) and Catherine Groncki Skuta. He was a 1947 graduate of New Castle High School and graduated from Youngstown State College in 1957.He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.Ludwig was retired from the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation as a job placement specialist.He was a member of the American Legion Post #343 and was the Exalted Ruler with the B.P.O.E. #69.He was Lutheran.He is survived by his former wife, Lois M. Croco Skuta; two sons, Mark C. Skuta of Pittsburgh and Clifford B. Skuta of Washington, DC; and one brother, Edward Skuta of New Castle.He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Skuta.There will be no calling hours.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. The Rev. Dennis Bupp will officiate.
