Lynn Ann Smolnik Bruno, 58, of New Castle, passed away the morning of December 22, 2015 at Jameson Hospital. Born August 1, 1957 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Emil Earl and Patricia Ann Jones Smolnik. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Bruno, whom she married October 28, 2000. She was a 1975 graduate of Neshannock High School. Lynn was employed at Jameson Hospital as a housekeeper. Following her 21 years at the hospital, she was a cook at Neshannock Elementary School. Among her many interests, Lynn enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an active member of the Shenango Presbyterian Church for many years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son in law, Emily and Jon Hill of New Castle; two brothers, Jim (Jill) Smolnik, and Dan Smolnik, both of New Castle; and two grandchildren, Kendan and Aubrielle. In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in passing by her nephew, Joshua Smolnik. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Amy Na officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
