Marcilyn A. Moon, age 85, of New Wilmington, passed away the early morning of Aug. 14, 2023, at her residence.

Born on May 4, 1938, in New Castle, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Lillian Mae (Widel) Tucker, Sr.

On Dec. 7, 1957, she married her beloved husband of 63 years, Harold Leroy "Roy" Moon, Jr. He preceded her in death on April 20, 2021.

Mrs. Moon was a graduate of McKeesport High School. She was employed by Westminster College for 20 years, where she worked as the accounts payable and purchasing agent, until her retirement. Marcilyn enjoyed baking and cake decorating but what gave her the most joy in life, was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her two daughters, Karen (Jeffrey) Ott of Economy, PA, and Donna (John) Slick of New Wilmington, PA; two sons, Roy (Paula) Moon of Butler, PA, and Douglas (Jamie) Moon of Enon Valley, PA; one brother, William James (Connie) Tucker, Jr; nine grandchildren, Garrett, Jennifer, Jordyn, Heather, Lauren, Amanda, Mackenzie, Hayden and Zane; and six great-grandchildren, Brody, Blaire, Brooke, Quinn, Asher, and Carson.

Visitation will be held on Fri. Aug. 18th from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place, at the funeral home, immediately following visitation at 5:00 PM, with Rev. John Yergan officiating.

Burial will be alongside her husband at Oak Park Cemetery.
