Marcyann Wilson, age 76, of New Castle, passed away the late afternoon of July 1, 2024, at her residence.

Born Aug. 31, 1947, in Erie, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Viola (Bushick) Suroviec.

On Jan. 23, 1971, she married her beloved husband of 53 years, Kenneth Russell Wilson. He survives at home.

Marcyann earned her master's degree in education. For 30 years she was a teacher at Mohawk School District, until her retirement. Marcyann then went on to work at the New Castle Public Library for 5 years. She enjoyed painting and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, survivors include one daughter, Kelly (James) Griffin of Bear, DE; two sons, James (Emily) Wilson of Tulsa, OK, and Gregory (Cheryl) Wilson of CA; her siblings, Gregory Suroviec of Grand Valley, PA, Valerie (Louis) LaPlaca of Erie, PA, and Peter (Tricia) Suroviec of Edinboro, PA; and three grandchildren, Patrick Wilson, Cali Wilson, and Cayla Wilson.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or services.

Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.
