Margaret J. "Peg" Hedland, 68, of Pulaski, passed away at her residence the night of May 24, 2012.Born April 14, 1944, in New Castle, she was a daughter of Charles W. and Evelyn R. Richel Grim. She married William C. Hedland on September 5, 1963. He preceded her in death May 4, 2004.She was a 1963 graduate of Neshannock High School and was a homemaker.Peg enjoyed golfing, bingo, and was a beloved Steelers fan.She is survived by one son, Jeffrey S. Hedland of Pulaski; a daughter, Dawn Schmitt and her husband Spahr of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Dorothy Grim and Carol Weatherby both of New Castle; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, William C. Hedland, Jr., in 2011; a sister, Parlee King; and a brother, Charles Grim.Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2012, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.Burial will be in Castle View Gardens on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jameson Hospice of Lawrence County, 1211 Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA 16105
