Margaret L. "Peggy" Henry, age 82, lifelong resident of New Castle, passed away June 14, 2025, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Born July 13, 1942, in New Castle, she was the daughter of John E. and Alice (Gettings) Tindall.

She was preceded in death on Dec. 25, 1996, by her beloved husband of 33 years, Harry L. Henry, whom she married June 13, 1963.

Peggy was employed as an office administrator with the Girl Scouts of America. She was active with the Girl Scout Cookie Cupboard program and was actively involved in Girl Scouts for over 50 years.

Among her many interests, she enjoyed travel, camping and doing puzzles. She was a member of Center Presbyterian Church where she was involved with the LMC Women's Group.

Peggy is survived by one daughter, Pamela Stoddard of New Castle; two sons, Kevin (Lynn) Henry of New Castle and Edward (Meeghan) Henry of South Lake Tahoe, CA; one sister, Joan Essinger of Beloit, OH and a half sister, Sally (Tom) Walston of Columbus, OH; four grandchildren, Samantha (James) Brown, David (Chonda) Stoops, Kevin Henry, Jr., and Archer Henry; and one great-grandchild, Scarlett Brown.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Thursday at 6:00 with Pastor Randy Stringer officiating.

She will be laid to rest in Center Presbyterian Cemetery.
