Margaret L Shuppy, age 65, of New Castle, died the early morning of October 21, 2018, at her residence. Born July 25, 1953, she was the daughter of Rev. David J. Lutz. She married Stephen Shuppy on August 13, 1977. He survives at home. Margaret was a North Allegheny graduate. After high school, she went on to graduate from Iowa Wesleyan College. She worked for LCCAP, at the Head Start facility, as a Mental Health Coordinator. Margaret had a deep passion for child advocacy. She was a life-long learner in her profession for child & family development. She loved to travel, though her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She attended First United Methodist Church. Along with her husband and father, Margaret is survived by one daughter; Amelia Shuppy of Pittsburgh, one son; Elliott Shuppy of Pittsburgh, one brother; Kent R. Lutz of Virginia, two sisters; Rebecca (Gregg) Godfrey of Iowa, Jill L. (Brian) Fries of Virginia and nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her mother; Matilda (Green) Lutz, and daughter; Meredith Shuppy. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, 135 Decker Drive, New Castle. Officiating will be Margaret's father, Rev. David J.
