Marguerite L. Pitzer, age 92 of New Castle, passed away the morning of January 10, 2019. Born September 19, 1926, in Linesville, Pa., she was the daughter to the late Merle and Donna (Penfield) Spate. On November 27, 1945, she married Robert E. Pitzer. He survives at home. Mrs. Pitzer enjoyed crafts and sewing. She attended Shenango Presbyterian Church where she served as a deaconess and an elder. What gave her the most joy in life, was spending time with her family. Along with her husband Robert, Marguerite is survived by two daughters; Carol (William) Reynolds and Patricia (William) Linton, both of New Castle, one brother; Ronald Spate of Copperas Cove, Texas, one sister; Rita Jean Drivere of West Middlesex, PA., and two grandchildren and three great-grandsons. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death are three brothers; Thomas and Kenneth Spate and Earl Fenton; and step-mother; Martha Spate. A private service will be held at the families convenience with Rev. Mark Goswick , officiating. Burial will be at Oak Park Cemetery.
