Marian E. Church, 87, former New Castle resident, passed away May 28, 2014 at Vitas Inpatient Care Unit in Winter Park, Florida.Born September 8, 1926 in Princeton, PA., she was a daughter of John M. and Lyda K. Myers Gibson.Surviving at their home in St. Cloud, Florida, is her husband, Paul Church, whom she married October 25, 1947.She was a 1944 graduate of Princeton High School.Marian was employed with Shenango Pottery, working in the gold room. She then ran her own china replacement service.Marian was a member of the Liberty Grange, the New Castle Historical Society, and was a faithful yearly attendant at the WWII Ship Reunion with her husband.Her family referred to her as the "collector of collectables", enjoying a variety of collections. Most important to Marian was the time she spent with her family and her grandchildren.A member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, she was a former treasurer.Survivors include one son, Daniel Church and his wife Patricia, of Venice, FL; one sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Earl Wilson of Princeton; three grandchildren, Gail Jones, Victoria Church and Scott Church, all of Virginia; and three great grandchildren, Jessica, Rebecca and Kaden, also of Virginia.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Audley Gibson; and two sisters, Margaret George and Mildred Watters.Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will take place Saturday, June 7, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Ms. Marsha Parrish.Burial will be in Mt.
