Marian Louise Marker, 92, passed away peacefully the morning of Tuesday, October 20th, at Jameson Memorial Hospital.
Marian was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania on January 26, 1923 to the late James and Bertha Fandozzi and was the oldest of seven children. She married Earl Marker in June of 1945 and remained happily married until his death on July 13, 1986.
Marian worked in the hospital's maternity ward and as a full-time mother and grandmother, raising five generations of children.
Marian loved her birds, cooking, word puzzles, music, shopping, and above all, laughing and spending time with her dear family.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marian is preceded in death by her daughter, Judith DuBois; twin sons, Larry and Richard Marker; grandson, Brian Marker; sisters, Dorothy Kordish, Ruth Grimm, and Mildred Clements; and her brothers, Mick and James Jr. Fandozzi.
She is survived and deeply loved by her son Earl Marker and his wife Sharon; her sister Shirley "Toots" Shindlemantle; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many other loved family members and close friends.
A private funeral service will be held at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle, on Saturday, October 24th at 4:30 p.m. with the Rev. John Yergan officiating.
Entombment will be in the Parkside Mausoleum.
