Marjorie L. Cole, 86, formerly of Waugh Avenue, New Wilmington, passed away the night of December 10, 2013 at Jameson Care Center in New Castle. Born August 10, 1927 in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the daughter of Ralph and Helen Dufferd Logan. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, A. Wayne Cole, whom she married April 14, 1951. She was a graduate of New Castle High School. Marjorie was a secretary with several companies over her lifetime including Marion Technical School, Kelley Girl in Akron, Ohio, Penn Power Company, and the Veterans Administration in Pittsburgh. She was a member of Eastern Star, the Walmo Garden Club, Jameson Hospital Auxiliary, and Junior Women's Guild. Marjorie was very active throughout her life as she kept busy with such things as bowling, swimming, golf, ice skating, and playing bridge. She was a Cub Scout leader, an artist, and enjoyed her trips to the casinos. She also liked knitting and cooking and truly enjoyed raising her three children. After growing up in the First Christian Church in New Castle, she later attended High Street Christian Church in Akron, Ohio. In addition to her husband, Wayne, she is survived by two daughters, Susan (David) Urano of Athens, Ohio and Terri (Ted) Skinner of Lakewood, CO; one son, David (Susan) Cole of Narrowsburg, NY; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Donald Logan. Visitation will be held on Friday, December13, 2013, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 14, 2013, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A service will be held immediately following visitation on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 11:00 at the funeral home and will be officiated by the Rev. Bill Stone and the Rev. Ty Sabella.
