Marjorie Rose Dean, 87, formerly of Penny Lane, passed away the morning of April 19, 2017 at Jameson Care Center in New Castle. Born February 25, 1930 in New Castle, she was the daughter of Raymond and Violet Harting Kirkwood. Mrs. Dean was preceded in death in 1968 by her husband Lewis Pearson Dean, Jr., whom she married on December 12, 1949. Marjorie was employed for 36 years with the New Castle Orthopedic Group where she was a member of the office staff. She is survived by three sons, Thomas Dean of San Juan Bautista, CA., Robert Dean of Carson City, NV, and Charles Dean of New Castle; 5 grandchildren, Lauren Dean, Christen Moncuso, Jeffery Dean, Robert Dean, Jr., and Shannon Bergeson; 2 step-grandchildren, Sherrie and Rusty; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Private visitation and funeral service will be held for the family. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
