Marjorie M. Finley, 89, of New Castle, passed away the morning of January 30, 2019. Born May 7, 1929 in New Castle, she was the daughter of William and Grace (McGary) Mockel. She was preceded in death by her husband, George O. Finley, whom she married on October 24, 1947. Marjorie was employed as a secretary with Perelmans Jewelers where she oversaw the repair department. She was a member of Wimodausis and the Order of the Eastern Star. Among her many interests she enjoyed gardening in her flower bed, working jigsaw puzzles, and was an avid collector of snowmen. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Kathy Finley of New Castle, Judy (Russell) Shaffer of Sharpsville and Bonnie Kocis of Hermitage; two sons, Gary (Cheryl) Finley and George R. Finley all of New Castle; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 4, from 4:00-6:00pm at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation at 6:00pm at the funeral home with the Rev. David Snyder of St. Johns Lutheran Church officiating.
