Marjorie Marie Salem, age 92, of North Lima OH passed away peacefully during the early morning hours of October 19, 2022 at her residence.

Born on June 8, 1930 in Rockford, IL she was the daughter of the late Eric and Agnes (Hoagland) Ericson.

Marjorie was a graduate of East Rockford High School and then attended Rockford College. After holding several Administrative roles for various organizations, she worked as the Administrative Assistant to the President of Trinity College and Theological Seminary at their Chicago campus.

On August 11, 1962 she married her husband of 60 years, William F. Salem, Jr.

In addition to her husband, Marjorie is survived by her three children, their spouses, and her grandchildren. Susan and John Calhoun (Joshua, Samuel, and David), William and Kim Salem (Elizabeth and Matthew), and Thomas and Karen Salem (Madelyn, Eric, and Benjamin).

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Stanton and John Ericson.

Visitation will be held from 10am - 12pm on Saturday October 22 at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A service will follow immediately after visitation at noon.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed for Samaritan's Purse, Hospice of the Valley, or Visiting Angels.
