Marjory E. McKnight, 90, of New Wilmington, passed away the morning of March 3, 2019 at Shenango Presbyterian Home. Born June 30, 1928 in New Castle, to Robert F. and Dorothy (Aubel) Maxwell. She was preceded in death on January 20, 2008 by her husband of 57 years, Gordon E. McKnight, whom she married June 9, 1950. A 1946 graduate of New Castle High School, she attended Jameson Hospital School of Nursing and received her Registered Nurse degree in 1949. She was employed with Jameson Hospital for 20 years until gaining employment with Doctors Shaffer and Mansell in New Wilmington where she worked 20 years until her retirement in 1990. Marjory was a member of the Jameson-Shenango Alumni Association and of Neshannock Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder and played in the Bell Choir. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara J. (Paul) Smith of Henderson, Nevada; three sons, Terry E. (Linda) McKnight of Blairsville, Georgia, Timothy G. McKnight (Jennie Gehman) of Port Allegany, PA, and Daniel J. McKnight of Las Vegas, Nevada; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn R. Maxwell and two sisters, Jean and Barbara L. Maxwell. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or service. A burial will take place in Castle View Gardens.
