Mark Eric Spencer, 41, of New Castle, passed away the night of June 30, 2015 in Slippery Rock, PA. Born July 18, 1973 in New Castle, he was the son of Glenn Leroy and Katherine Marie Updegraff Spencer. Mark was employed as a welder at Casgrove and several other places. He had a great love for animals, nature, and hiking in the woods. Mark played the guitar which gave him the opportunity to play in various bands. He also loved Alice Cooper music and had an impressive knife collection. He attended the Victory Christian Center. In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Vicky and Tim Miller of New Castle; two nieces, Megan and Leanna Miller. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Ella Updegraff. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
