Marlene Edna Criswell, age 90, of New Castle, passed away the morning of Nov. 24, 2022, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born October 8, 1932, in New Castle, she was the daughter of John William and Tessie Agnes (Smith) Anderson.

She was preceded in death in 1983 by her husband, Robert E. Criswell, Sr.

Marlene was employed at Tibor Jewelers as a salesclerk, and in earlier years had also worked at Bargain Center.

She had a real love for dogs and enjoyed grooming them as well. She also liked thrift shopping and crocheting. She attended First Presbyterian Church.

Marlene is survived by her three children, Deborah (Anthony) Latore of Mansfield, Ohio, Denise (Randy) Caldararo of Florida and Robert Criswell, Jr. of New Castle; four grandchildren, Brian Latore, Chase Caldararo, Isabel Criswell and Emma Criswell; and one great-grandchild, Kendan Latore.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Robin Criswell.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services.
