Marsha Mae Emswiller, age 75, of Neshannock Twp., passed away, with her family by her side, the morning of Jan. 6, 2022, at UPMC Jameson Hospital, in New Castle. Born Nov. 15, 1946, in Kittanning, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Louise (Fenice) McEntire. On June 3, 1972, she married her beloved husband of 49 years, Bernard Emswiller, III. He survives at home. Marsha was a 1964 graduate of Reynolds High School. She went on to earn her bachelor's and master's degrees from Edinboro University. For 31 years, until her retirement, she worked as an elementary school teacher at her beloved alma mater, Reynolds School District, where she influenced and inspired many young lives. Marsha was an avid collector of American art pottery. Among some of her hobbies, she enjoyed oil, watercolor, and tole painting, boating, and traveling to her two favorite places, Italy and St. Augustine, FL. Above everything else in life, Marsha cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her adored grandsons, Luke and Jack. She was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Church and more recently, St. Camillus Church. In addition to her husband, Marsha is survived by one daughter, Kristen (Barry) Morris of Transfer, PA; one son, Bernard (Jennifer) Emswiller, IV of Palm Coast, FL; one brother, Ronald (Kelly) McEntire of Neshannock, Twp., PA; two sisters, Karen Woods of Tranfer, PA, and Linda (Anthony) Mastrian of Clark, PA; two grandsons, Luke and Jack Morris, and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Marsha was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, James Woods and her beloved aunt and uncle, Clara and Thomas Horan. Visitation will be held on Mon., Jan. 10th from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Rd., New Castle. A blessing service will take place immediately following visitation, at the funeral home, at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Reynolds Elementary PTO, 1609 Brentwood Dr., Greenville, PA 16125, in Marsha's honor to keep her influence and love of children alive.
