Martha J. Bain, age 80, of Butler, PA, passed away the morning of Oct. 14, 2026, at Quality Life Services – New Castle.

Born Dec. 27, 1945, in Butler, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert J. and Lois A. (Christie) Bain.

Martha worked as a nurse’s aide for several years until her retirement. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding her horse, Stormy. Martha had a huge heart for animals. One of her many purposes in life was to care for several pets, including her beloved dogs, Christina, Baby Girl, and Shamrock ‘Shamy’ and numerous other dogs and cats. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to flea markets. Martha will always be remembered for being a very caring and giving person. She was always there to help anyone who might need it. She was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include her adopted daughter, Mandy (David) Long of New Castle, PA; one brother, Robert L. (Doris) Bain of Florida; two adopted grandchildren, Noah and Devon Long, and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes there will be no services.
