Martha G. ""Marty"" Lang, 71, of Martin Road, New Castle, passed away the morning of September 13, 2014 at her residence.Born May 9, 1943 in New Castle, she was a daughter of James and Jane Heckathorne Fulton.She was preceded in death on January 17, 2002 by her husband, William S. Lang.Marty was a 1961 graduate of Neshannock High School. She was employed for over 30 years as a veterinarian assistant and groomer with Dr. Brown in New Castle until her retirement in 1994.Her grandchildren were the joy of her life. She loved not only the time spent babysitting her great-grandchildren, Maddie, Butch, Mayci and Dafni, but also writing stories about all of her grandchildren. She also had an interest in gardening and flowers, and was an animal lover.Marty was a member of First Christian Church in Ellwood City, where she frequently helped with church dinners.She is survived by three daughters, Roxanne J. Lang (Harlan ""Huck"") Wilcox, Connie Rhodes, and Debbie (Glenn) Withrow, all of New Castle; two sons, James (Jody) Lang of New Castle, and Larry (Carrie) Lang of Harrisville; one brother, Albert Fulton of New Castle; one niece, Denise Fulton Wagner of Hermitage; 11 grandchildren, Bobby Rhodes, Cherie(Todd) Bailey, Jamie Rhodes, Rebecca (Gary) Taylor, Aaron (Annette) Withrow, Brandon (Kristen) Hinkle, Matthew Hinkle, Jennifer(Jeff) Burgess, Steven(Tara) Lang, Sara Lang, and Ashley Wilcox; and 22 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will take Wednesday, September 17, 2014, immediately following visitation at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Martha's grandson, Rev. Aaron Withrow.Burial will be in Fair Oaks Cemetery.
