Martha Jane (Skip) Sonntag, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 4, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of faith and family. She was a beloved mom, grandma, and great grandma. Martha was born on February 21, 1933, in Warren, Ohio, to Richard and Martha (Hazlett) Martin. Martha married Russell Sonntag on September 25, 1954.

Martha graduated from Princeton High School in 1950 and was employed at Farmer's Supply, Penn Power, Butz Flowers, and Consumer Credit Counseling of Western PA, but her most important career was mom. She shared her love for golf, gardening, crafts, baking, candy making, and sewing with her family. She was a faithful member and servant of Harmony Baptist Church throughout the years.

Surviving are her three daughters, Linda Mayer, Kathy Roe, and Janice (Donald) Robinson. Martha has six grandchildren, Lauren (Mark) Frazier, Stephen Roe, Aimee (Brandon) Molisani, Adam (Mary Kate) Robinson and Tyler and Ryan Robinson. She also has seven great grandchildren: Camden, Cole, Maura, Lexie and Markus Frazier and Jackson and Chloe Molisani. Also surviving are her sisters Sue (Ray) Bales and Sylvia (Lester) Krepton.

Martha joins those who went before her including her parents, husband Russell, sons-in-law, William Mayer and Jeffrey Roe, brothers James Martin and John Martin, and sisters Ruth McGee and Mary Alice Harlan.

Friends will be received Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 11AM to 2 PM at R. Cunningham Funeral Home. A service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jeff McKay officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Herman Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, City Rescue Mission, or Harmony Baptist Church.
