Mary Jane Camerot, 90, formerly of West Pittsburg, passed away the morning of March 9, 2021 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake, Ohio. Born March 4, 1931 in New Castle, she was the daughter of John Scott Drake, Sr. and Ellen Adelaide (Stokes) Drake. She was preceded in death on December 12, 2017 by her beloved husband of 64 years, Benardino "Bennie" Camerot, whom she married June 6, 1953. A New Castle High School graduate, Mary Jane taught dance at Jean Bartsch School of Dance for 43 years. Travel, dance and music were among her varied interests. She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church. Mary Jane is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Mike) Dean of Avon, Ohio; one granddaughter, Janalyn (Patrick) Ayers of Akron, Ohio and one great granddaughter, Melodee Ayers of Akron, Ohio. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Scott Drake, Jr. A private family graveside service will be held at Oak Park Cemetery with the Rev.
