On Saturday, August 3rd, 2024, Mary Elizabeth Jenkins "Mary Liz" went to be with The Lord.

Born on October 4th, 1943, in New Castle, to the late DuWayne M. Allen and Elizabeth (Kinda) Allen, she graduated from Union Area High School and married her high-school sweetheart, John P. Jenkins. He preceded her in passing.

From carrying papers as a child to being the head of her large family for decades, Mary was a hard worker. She loved to tend her flower garden, cook everything from Chicken Paprikash to homemade soup, and crafted with a passion.

When she loved something, she did it with her entire heart. Whether it be family, popcorn, Halloween, or Marlboro Red Label 100s.

She is survived by her children, Janet, Douglas (Patty), and Charlene Jenkins; grandchildren, Sabryna Phenicie, Julia Jenkins, Madison and Jason Jenkins; sisters, Marjorie (Fred) Spigler and Barbara Potter; as well as a multitude of cousins, nieces, nephews, granddogs, great grandcats, and a great grandhampster.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by her nephew.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her; especially the late-night McDonald's drive-thru workers.

In keeping with Mary's wishes, all services will be held privately. Burial will be in Castleview Memorial Gardens.
