Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Jokinen, 92, of New Castle, passed away the morning of December 24, 2011 at Jameson Care Center.She was born on October 15, 1919 to John R. and Mary I. Massie Boughter in New Castle and she married Harvey Jokinen. He preceded her in death on July 25, 1975.Mary is survived by her three daughters; Sandra Tate of North Canton, Ohio, Bonnie Elliot of New Castle, and Jan Davis of Rockwall, Texas. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister; Dorothy Mae Reno and one son; H. Richard Jokinen.Calling hours will be Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, from 12 - 1 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., on Wilmington Road.The service will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at the funeral home with The Reverend Chris Weichman officiating.Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
