Mary Margaret "Peg" Jones, age 88, of New Castle, passed away the evening of July 18, 2018, at her residence. Born on February 28, 1930, in Slippery Rock Township, she was the daughter to the late George W. and Daisy White Myers. She married Robert J. Jones on May 20, 1950. They were married for 51 years before he preceded her in death on June 1, 2001. She loved her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, her family, and her church; Faith Country Chapel. Mary will be best remembered, not only for loving her family and cooking family dinners every Sunday, but also for being a prayer warrior, and for her delicious candies, cookies and pies that she made with love. Mary is survived by son; Kenneth R. Jones and long time companion Brenda, of Wampum, Pa., daughter; Susan Kay Hogue of New Castle ,Pa., three granddaughters; Aaryn Nitsch, Lindsy Hogue, Ashleigh Hogue, all of Pittsburgh, Pa., and two great-granddaughters; Madison and Elin. Along with her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by two sons; Dale Wayne and David Earl Jones, a grandson; Douglas Edward Jones, and son-in-law; Larry Hogue. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 21st from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. A service will be held immediately following visitation at 4:00 PM, with the Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
