Mary Ann McDonald, 75, of 516 Cambridge Street, New Castle, passed away the afternoon of April 20, 2015 at Jameson Hospital. Born March 5, 1940 in New Castle, she was a daughter of James and Rose Maciarello Russo. A 1957 graduate of New Castle High School, she also attended Seton Hill in the nursing program. She was employed as a deli clerk with the former Ralph's Supermarket. Among her many interests, Mary Ann enjoyed cooking and gardening, but most important was time she spent with her family. She attended St. Vitus Church. She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Bulisco of New Castle; one son, Donald C. McDonald Jr. and his wife Lisa of Pulaski; 6 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy Strayer. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and will be officiated by Father William Siple.
