Mary V. McFarland, 75, of Grove Manor in Grove City, formerly of Harlansburg, passed away the morning of February 21, 2011. Born July 29, 1935 in Plain Grove, PA, she was a daughter of George and Grace Hohmann. She married Richard McFarland on July 26, 1956. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2000.Mary was a homemaker and attended New Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church.She is survived by two sons, Alan McFarland of New Castle and Gary McFarland of Oil City, PA; one sister, Sally Price of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and one sister.Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, 10-11 a.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road.A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. George Yates will officiate. Burial will be in Unity Baptist Cemetery.
