Mary Bratschie Patton, 97, of Rhodes Estates, a life-long resident of New Castle, passed away the morning of Saturday, October 18. Her husband of 53 years, Everett Patton, preceded her in death in August 2005. She is survived by a sister, Ella Busch, of Greenville, PA.After graduating from Slippery Rock College, she pursued a career in elementary teaching. Many of her later years were with the Neshannock School System from which she retired. She was an active member of Highland Presbyterian Church, a sister in P.E.O. Chapter A, and a member of Jameson Junior Guild. Her life will be celebrated at a memorial service to be held at Highland Presbyterian Church at the corner of Park and Highland Avenue on Saturday, October 25 at 11 a.m.Arrangements are by the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc,. 2429 Wilmington Road.
