Mary Bigley Skadra, 93, of Youngstown Ohio, formerly of Mayfield Heights Ohio, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, in The Hospice of the Valley Hospice House, Poland Ohio.Born August, 10, 1917 in Youngstown Ohio, Mary was the daughter of the late John and Barbara Dzyak Bigley. She married Joseph Michael Skadra on June 8, 1940. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1993.Mary worked for General Electric in Cleveland, Ohio as an inspector. She enjoyed music and cooking and was a member of the Karlan Hall in Cleveland.Mary was also a member of St. Christine's Catholic Church in Youngstown Ohio.Mary is survived by two sons, Joseph Skadra of Anthem, Arizona and Kenneth Skadra of Philadelphia, Pa. She is also survived by one sister, Dorothy Rusnak of Youngstown Ohio, eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by four brothers John, Mike, George and Bob Bigley; and one sister Ann Cifranic.Visitation will be on Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 2429 Wilmington Rd., New Castle Pa.A procession will leave the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. for St. James the Apostle Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. James A. Downs officiating.Internment will follow in St. James Cemetery.
